Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 21, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of AuthorizeDoc, including our website, document creation tools, electronic signature workflows, APIs, integrations, notifications, and related services. By creating an account, uploading a document, sending a document for signature, signing a document, using an API key, or otherwise using AuthorizeDoc, you agree to these terms.
If you use AuthorizeDoc on behalf of a company, organization, team, or other legal entity, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf. In these terms, "you" means both you individually and the organization you represent. "AuthorizeDoc", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the provider of the AuthorizeDoc service.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use AuthorizeDoc.
The Service
AuthorizeDoc helps users create, send, sign, download, and track documents. Depending on your plan and configuration, the service may include document templates, PDF generation, electronic signatures, signing links, signing codes, recipient workflows, notifications, API access, webhooks, file delivery, integrations, and audit-style tracking entries.
You are responsible for deciding whether AuthorizeDoc is suitable for your documents, recipients, industry, and legal requirements. We may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service from time to time, provided that we do not intentionally remove core paid functionality without reasonable notice where notice is practical.
Electronic Signatures
AuthorizeDoc supports electronic signature workflows, but we do not provide legal advice. You are responsible for determining whether electronic signatures are valid, enforceable, and appropriate for your use case and jurisdiction.
A signed document may include or be associated with metadata such as timestamps, recipient names and email addresses, signing status, download status, IP address where available, document identifiers, security codes, webhook events, integration delivery events, and related tracking entries. This metadata is intended to support operational tracking and audit review, but it is not a guarantee of a signer's legal identity, authority, intent, capacity, or location.
You are responsible for selecting recipients correctly, verifying signer identity where needed, obtaining consent to use electronic signatures, and keeping signing links, codes, API keys, and account credentials secure.
Accounts and Security
You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by team members, invited users, API clients, integrations, and anyone who obtains access through your credentials or links.
You must promptly notify us if you believe your account, password, API key, signing link, signing code, or integration has been compromised. We may suspend access to protect you, other users, recipients, or the service.
Your Documents and Data
You retain ownership of the documents, templates, signatures, attachments, recipient information, custom data, and other content that you upload, create, or process through AuthorizeDoc. You grant us a limited license to host, store, copy, process, convert, encrypt, transmit, display, sign, download, back up, delete, and otherwise handle that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service and to comply with legal obligations.
You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of your documents and data. You must not upload or send content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, harmful, abusive, or that you do not have the right to process.
Do not use AuthorizeDoc to process special categories of personal data, highly sensitive information, regulated health information, payment card data, government secrets, or other high-risk content unless your plan, written agreement, and applicable law permit it and you have implemented appropriate safeguards.
Privacy and Data Protection
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. If you use AuthorizeDoc for documents involving other people, you are responsible for giving required notices, obtaining required consents, and having a lawful basis for processing their personal data.
Where applicable, tracking and security records may include IP addresses, timestamps, browser or request information, document and recipient identifiers, status changes, download activity, signing activity, webhook activity, and integration delivery activity. IP addresses and similar metadata can be useful for support and audit review, but they are not a reliable proof of identity or physical location.
If you need a data processing agreement, additional security terms, or specific retention commitments, those must be agreed with us in writing.
Retention, Deletion, and Backups
AuthorizeDoc may retain documents, generated files, signatures, recipient records, tracking entries, logs, backups, and related metadata for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.
Some deleted documents or files may remain temporarily in backups, logs, queues, caches, or generated-file storage before they are permanently removed. Some tracking records may be retained to preserve an audit trail, support compliance, or protect the integrity of signed-document workflows.
You are responsible for downloading and keeping copies of documents you need. We are not a permanent archive unless your plan or written agreement expressly says so.
Plans, Billing, and Payment
Some parts of AuthorizeDoc may require a paid subscription, usage-based payment, add-on, or one-off purchase. Prices, included usage, limits, and features may vary by plan and may be displayed on our pricing page, in your account, or in a separate written agreement.
By purchasing a paid service, you authorize us and our payment providers to charge applicable fees, taxes, renewals, overages, and other amounts associated with your plan. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You are responsible for keeping payment details current.
If payment fails, we may suspend or limit access to paid features. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in a written refund policy or agreement.
APIs, Webhooks, and Integrations
If you use AuthorizeDoc APIs, webhooks, or third-party integrations, you are responsible for your configuration, endpoints, credentials, permissions, payload handling, and compliance with third-party terms. You authorize us to send documents, metadata, files, and events to the destinations you configure.
Third-party services are not controlled by us. We are not responsible for delays, failures, security issues, data loss, changes, or charges caused by third-party providers, networks, email systems, storage services, or integration endpoints.
You must not abuse the API, bypass rate limits, interfere with the service, scrape data, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or use integrations in a way that harms AuthorizeDoc, recipients, third parties, or other users.
Acceptable Use
You must use AuthorizeDoc lawfully and responsibly. You must not use the service to impersonate others, forge signatures, mislead recipients, send spam, distribute malware, harass people, violate intellectual property rights, process illegal content, evade sanctions, breach export-control rules, or support fraud, phishing, identity theft, or other unlawful activity.
We may remove content, block messages, disable links, suspend accounts, limit API access, or terminate access if we believe the service is being misused or if continued access creates legal, security, operational, or reputational risk.
Intellectual Property
AuthorizeDoc and its software, design, trademarks, logos, documentation, templates created by us, and other service materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, we reserve all rights in the service.
You may not copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service except as allowed by these terms or a written agreement. You may use generated documents, signed documents, and your own templates for your business or personal purposes, subject to your rights in the underlying content.
Availability and Support
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, upgrades, security work, third-party outages, network problems, misuse, or events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.
Support availability, response times, and service levels depend on your plan or written agreement. We may provide updates, fixes, or workarounds at our discretion.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AuthorizeDoc is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, legal enforceability of any signature or document, and suitability for any regulated or high-risk use.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitations are prohibited.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost goodwill, lost data, document unenforceability, business interruption, or costs of substitute services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the service or these terms will be limited to the amount you paid to AuthorizeDoc for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the event giving rise to liability, or EUR 100 if you used only free services.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your documents, your use of the service, your breach of these terms, your violation of law, your infringement of third-party rights, your integrations, or your failure to obtain required authority, consent, or legal basis.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as posting the updated terms, updating the date above, or sending notice through the service or by email. Your continued use of AuthorizeDoc after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the provider of AuthorizeDoc, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless mandatory law gives you other rights, disputes must be brought in the courts with jurisdiction over the provider of AuthorizeDoc.
This section should be reviewed and completed with the correct legal entity, governing law, and venue before these terms are used in production.
